Contract Negotiations
Our attorneys serve as lead negotiators and support national, multi-employer and single employer contract negotiations in the public and private sector. Whether a union is dealing with a Fortune 500 company, a large city, or a small shop, we help our clients succeed at the bargaining table. We work closely with officers, staff, negotiating committee members, communications teams, economists, researchers, and consultants to develop effective and powerful collective bargaining strategies and tactics.
Litigation
When a union must litigate to defend employee rights or the organization itself, our attorneys bring an aggressive, highly skilled, and experienced approach to the courtroom. We practice in federal and state courts, before the National Labor Relations Board, the National Mediation Board, and state and local agencies that enforce labor laws. We have a record of successfully securing the best possible outcomes for our clients in a cost-effective manner.
Organizing
Millions of Americans want to join unions. Unfortunately, too many employers interfere with their right to representation at work. The job of a union attorney is to support and help organizers find ways to utilize our labor laws so the right of every worker to representation is fully realized. We assist clients with communications, campaign strategy, representation elections, voluntary recognition, 8(f) agreements, card check, and neutrality agreements.
